Anyone for Roast Guinea Pig?

Roast guinea pig was on the menu at lunchtime- not the most appetising sight (nor my filthy face after five hours of hard riding through the dust and dirt). As a vegetarian, I was excused eating the family pet and instead was given a soup of dubious origin.

Friends in High Places

Through working on their bikes, I got to know many of the Highway Patrol riders in the Seattle area - most of whom said they would be too scared to even consider the journey I was on.

Bridge of Fear

A typical trail through the Andes mountains, not for those who suffer from vertigo

White Knuckle Bridge

White Knuckle Bridge

One of the scariest moments of the trip was having to cross this terrifyingly narrow and rickety-looking bridge which was swaying as the bike went across.
